Low-Voltage Technician

Job Title: Low-Voltage Technician

Pay: $20.00 – $30.00/hour, depending on experience

Job Purpose: Installation and repair control systems, robotics, network data systems, video systems and access control. We service a wide range of customers in manufacturing, education, government, military, agriculture, commercial and industrial industries.

Responsibilites:

  • Installation, startup and testing of automation systems including PLC, DDCs, analog and digital circuits and pneumatics
  • Installation, startup and testing of automation systems including access controls and video systems
  • Troubleshoot, identify and correct malfunctions or failures in existing automation systems, security and video systems
  • Read electrical schematics, diagrams, specifications and manuals

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to work proficiently on your own or as part of a team
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools
  • Ability to travel, including overnight
  • Basic use of computers including Adobe, Excel, Word

Ideal candidates have:

  • Degree or certificate in automation, electronics or similar field
  • Licensed Journeyman electrician, apprentice electrician or PLT license experience
  • Knowledge of electrical schematics, wireing diagrams and elecronic circuitry including AC/DC circuits, sensors, motors, drives, controllers, power systems, relays and actuators
  • Basic understanding of mechancial systems including motors, pumps, fans, actuators and valves

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifing 25-50 lbs.
  • Climbing ladders
  • Working from areal platforms
  • Working outside

Other requirements:

  • Ability to pass a drug screen
  • Valid driver’s license required to operate any company equipment
  • Willingness to travel within region or internationally as required

Compensation

$20.00 – $30.00/hour, depending on experience
